Quick Details
The Ultimate Day of Fishing and Snorkeling in Port Douglas!
Catering for up to 8 guests, with 2 crew skippers and guide/deckhand, you get to make the itinerary, typically a fishing charter from 8 am – 1 pm followed by a guided snorkel tour at a choice of destinations including the beautiful Low Isles lagoon (pictured) or the idyllic undine coral cay, dependent on weather and availability.
Best suited to strong swimmers and sound mobility as snorkeling takes place from the back of the boat in open water. however, floatation devices are available on board.
Participant Guidelines:
We advise all our guests to listen closely to our experienced crew to ensure your safety while out on the water, we will brief you on safety equipment and how to use it before departure. Once we arrive at the fishing grounds our crew will demonstrate and explain safe and correct methods of how to use our deep-sea fishing tackle. We advise all passengers to bring a hat and sunscreen for your own protection.
Our vessel is equipped with all required safety equipment, however we need you to honestly declare any medical concerns or mobility issues when booking so we can deem if you are safe to travel as we aren’t easily able to get medical assistance out at sea.
The vessel has an enclosed marine toilet, padded outdoor communal seat and 1/2 cover over the deck for some protection from the elements.
This combo tour requires all passengers to be able to swim unassisted (we do have floatation noodles also ) as the vessel often moors in the lagoon and snorkelling takes place off the back of the boat into the island, while the skipper will try to get as close as possible for your convenience this isn’t always possible.
Weather conditions:
We do not fish if strong winds or big seas are forecast. It is very important that you provide a phone number and have in hand so we can contact you the night before your trip in case the charter has to be rescheduled or cancelled last minute in the event of bad weather. We only cancel if strong winds and/or big seas are forecast. We do not cancel if it’s raining, if rain is forecast, we advise that you bring a suitable jacket or raincoat.

What is the EMC?
The Environmental Management Charge or EMC is a charge payable by commercial operators granted permits by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA). This includes operators conducting tourist programmes and non-tourist commercial charters plus those operating facilities in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park . There is no Goods and Services Tax (GST) liability on the EMC.Visitors to the reef participating in a tourist activity are now liable to pay the charge to the permit holder. The role of the operator in relation to the charge is to collect and remit the charge to the GBRMPA
All funds received as EMC payments are applied directly to management of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park including education, research, ranger patrols and policy development. At the time of printing a total fee of $7 per person per day is recommended to cover the cost of the EMC.
